Katy Jung
Sculptor & Porcelain Artist
Katy Jung is the creative mind behind feinesweißes. Originally from Thuringia, she trained as a wood sculptor, graduated from the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, and founded her Berlin porcelain label. In 2014 she opened her workshop and showroom in Prenzlauer Berg, where she designs and makes porcelain objects with a small team of craftspeople, designers, and artists. The pieces are produced here in small batches and as one-off pieces. From the first sketch to the finished object, everything is made on site, by hand. Katy Jung's work has been shown at national and international exhibitions.
"Porcelain never stops fascinating me. Its elegance, its delicacy, and the demands it places on craft. It is a material that is precise and unforgiving. That is what makes it special and valuable — and not least, magnificently beautiful."
